At the heart of Caring Care’s success is its founder, Paramjit (Pam) Bains. Pam’s journey is one of dedication, self-development, and a true passion for providing compassionate care. In this blog post, we’ll explore Pam’s incredible achievements, her vision for Caring Care, and how she built one of the most trusted home care services in the region.
Pam’s Journey into Care Pam has worked most of her adult life in the care sector, and it was during this time that she realised her calling to create an organisation that truly puts people first. In 2008, Pam founded Caring Care in Walsall with the goal of offering high-quality home care services for those who want to maintain independence while receiving the support they need. What makes Pam’s story even more inspiring is her commitment to self-improvement. In her 50s, Pam completed her Level 4 Registered Managers Award and passed her CQC interview to become a Registered Manager. These milestones were pivotal in helping Pam bring her vision of compassionate, personalised care to life.
The Growth of Caring Care Starting with Walsall Council as the company’s first local authority, Pam built Caring Care from the ground up. Her strong leadership and vision for delivering person-centred care have seen the company grow significantly. What Pam is particularly proud of is the diverse workforce she has cultivated - something she believes is essential for a successful and inclusive care service. In 2014, Pam was recognised for her outstanding achievements, winning the prestigious Black Country Asian Business Awards Businesswoman of the Year. This award highlights her incredible impact on the care industry and her unwavering dedication to improving the lives of those in her care.
Caring Care’s Ethos: Putting People First At the heart of Caring Care is the ethos of Putting People First. Pam has built a company culture focused on ensuring that every client and caregiver feels supported, valued, and empowered. She enjoys celebrating these successes at the Annual Awards Dinner and Dance, where staff are recognised for their contributions and commitment.
Pam’s Life Outside of Caring Care Outside of work, Pam enjoys spending time with her grandchildren, swimming, and travelling. Despite her many achievements, Pam remains deeply connected to the people around her, which is what makes her leadership style so unique.
Conclusion Pam Bains is more than just the founder of Caring Care - she is the driving force behind its success. Her vision, dedication, and commitment to compassionate care have shaped Caring Care into a trusted provider of home care services, and her journey serves as an inspiration for all. Safeguarding is at the heart of everything we do at Caring Care. This week, our Safeguarding Champions came together in our Walsall office to sign our Safeguarding Charter. It is a clear, shared commitment to protecting the well-being, dignity and safety of the people we support in home care across the West Midlands, and to supporting one another as a team.

Recently our team took part in an outstandingly informative Swallowing and Thickener Awareness session with Charlotte, Nestlé Product Trainer. More than 200 carers attended, reflecting our commitment to learning that directly improves support for people receiving home care in Walsall and across the West Midlands.

Our Training and Recruitment Team, together with our Senior Care Coordinators, attended **Dysphagia and IDDSI training** at **Staffordshire Beaconside Centre**, delivered by **Staffordshire Council**. The session was detailed, practical, and hands on. Most importantly, it strengthens how we keep mealtimes safe, calm, and enjoyable for people who live with swallowing difficulties.
